A Shopify & WooCommerce embedded app that adds configurable Cash on Delivery shipping rates with weight-based surcharges and automatic tax calculation at checkout.

The Problem

Shopify lacks native support for COD with configurable shipping rates and tax calculation — a must-have for Pakistani and South Asian e-commerce stores.

How It Works

Built a FastAPI backend integrated via Shopify's Carrier Service API with an embedded admin dashboard for merchants. Supports weight-based pricing tiers, automatic tax on subtotal, and usage-based billing plans.

Results

Processing 5,000+ checkouts per cycle with over Rs 26M in shipping collected. Deployed on Shopify App Store with Free, Basic, and Pro billing plans.
